Unlock the Future of Sustainable Cosmetics with a Focus on Safety and Efficacy
The Skin Summer School, a leading event in the cosmetics industry and a must-attend for technicians, professionals, and students alike, will return to Pavia from June 17 to 19.
Unlock the Future of Sustainable Cosmetics: the theme for the twelfth edition is “Unlock the Future of Sustainable Cosmetics with a Focus on Safety and Efficacy,” aiming to unite three fundamental pillars of modern cosmetics: sustainability, ingredient and product safety, and the effectiveness of finished products. Renowned speakers from academia and industry will stimulate discussions by exploring these concepts from various perspectives.
This three-day event, supported by our organizational efforts, is part of the Master’s program in Cosmetologic Sciences at the University of Pavia and is linked to the Learning NODES Nord Ovest Digitale e Sostenibile Spoke 2 (Green Technologies and Sustainable Industries) project, funded by the PNRR, with the goal of promoting sustainable development. The rich program also reaffirms previous initiatives, such as “Meet&Hit” and “Speed Date Event,” which enjoyed great success in the last edition.
Exciting Initiatives
Meet & Hit is a cosmetics contest that offers young talents the opportunity to present their innovative ideas to a scientific board composed of academic and industry experts. This platform allows participants to showcase their potential, with the most deserving projects selected and the winner awarded the title of “Cosmetologist of the Future.”
Speed Date Event is a networking format designed to stimulate new career opportunities and expand professional networks. Participants will have the chance for brief, targeted interviews with representatives from renowned cosmetics companies, fostering new collaborations. This effective format has proven successful in creating meaningful connections and providing valuable opportunities to explore new professional horizons.

As Etichub, we will also have a spotlight session on Tuesday, June 18 at 12 PM, titled “Balancing Cosmetic Sustainability and Efficacy.”
