Lottery "Science for Science" of the Maddalena di Canossa Institute in Pavia
“Science for Science” is the lottery of the Maddalena di Canossa private institute in Pavia, an initiative designed to promote children’s scientific interest with the support of Etichub.
The “Science for Science” lottery was created with the desire to promote children’s scientific interest and support inclusion through the development of the STEM area, the setup of educational laboratories, and the organization of scientific activities within the Maddalena di Canossa Institute in Pavia.
Science is fundamental in the world we live in and is a valuable resource for progress.
This initiative aims to promote the idea of science for all, regardless of gender, and encourages embracing STEM subjects for a world where curiosity and creativity can flourish.
Every ticket purchased contributes to fundraising efforts dedicated to the Institute’s activities, with the goal of enhancing the scientific laboratory to carry out engaging educational activities and to develop new stimulating scientific projects for children and young people, from early childhood through primary to secondary school.
The drawing will take place on May 30, 2024, in the schoolyard, during the grand celebration for the 250th anniversary of Maddalena di Canossa.

The School
The Maddalena di Canossa Institute in Pavia is the beating heart of education and inspiration. The school has always been committed to creating an engaging and stimulating educational environment for its students.
The Maddalena di Canossa Institute has been in Pavia for over 165 years. It is a Catholic school that originated from the founding experience of Saint Maddalena di Canossa and belongs to the long tradition of Canossian Mothers and Schools.
Guiding the entire organization and the values of the school is the conviction of the founder, Saint Maddalena di Canossa, that “the conduct of a person’s entire life ordinarily depends on education.”
The school provides innovative, technological, and multimedia teaching, with a training path based on the most modern methodological and pedagogical techniques to promote language development, digital education, and specialized learning.

The initiative has the support of Etichub, a spin-off of the Department of Drug Sciences at the University of Pavia, which has always been committed to supporting the local community and investing in scientific education programs. It has already promoted specialized, post-graduate, and academic pathways, and with this initiative, it aims to support the Maddalena di Canossa Institute in its mission to stimulate curiosity about the scientific world, even among the youngest.
